OFAC Search

Baselayer offers a standalone API route to confirm the presence of individuals or companies in the OFAC Sanctions List.

Use the POST /ofac/searches route to initialize a search. The only required field in the body is name.

There are two optional inputs:

• similarity_threshold (0.0 to 1.0, defaults to 0.9): similarity threshold for the search
• limit (1 to 50, defaults to 1): number of results to return for the search

The response to the POST request will contain all the information available under the Sanctions List, including any associated addresses, or the program under which the entity was included in the list.
