Three improvements to International Business Search:
  • Watchlist screening. International searches now screen the company, any name variants you supply in alternative_names, its current officers and its beneficial owners against Baselayer’s watchlists, including OFAC and the Consolidated Screening List. PEP screening runs when you order the PEP add-on. Results appear in a new watchlist_hits field on GET /international/searches/{id}, in the same shape as domestic results. A list with a count of 0 was screened with no match; a list that is absent was not screened. A confirmed OFAC hit sets the Risk score to 0 and the Risk rating to F. Which lists run, and how close a name must match, follow your Account Settings.
  • Flexible inputs. When you send a filing_number, the business name and address are now optional: send the number on its own, or with either or both. Without a filing number, name and address are still both required. Name matching also recognizes legal-form abbreviations and their full names as equivalent across Spain, France, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Belgium and Italy (for example SL and Sociedad Limitada).
  • Updated scoring. The KYB score now only counts the inputs you sent, so a search with just a filing number isn’t penalized for a missing name or address. KYB ratings now use the same bands as domestic KYB (A 90–100, B 80–89, C 60–79, F below 60), and only A and B count as verified. Scores for existing name-and-address searches may shift slightly as a result. See International Scores & Ratings.
