[Jul 13, 2026] International Search by Filing Number

Baselayer now supports the ability of searching international registrations using only a filing_number - which returns the most accurate results.

A filing_number with iso2_country_code can be a complete request on its own: name/address matching is skipped and the match fields stay null.

Searching by name and address is still supported. When both filing_number, name and address are provided, the registry is searched by this number first; a name (if also provided) is used as a fallback when no company matches the number.

We recommend allowing customers to search for their filing_number (if they do not know it already), by leveraging the list of results from GET /international/registrations.
