Query Parameters

redirect
boolean
default:true

When false, respond 200 with the signed URL as JSON instead of redirecting to it. Intended for browser callers, whose cross-origin redirect to storage is subject to the bucket's CORS policy.

Response

The signed URL as JSON (redirect=false).

The signed URL behind a redirecting download endpoint, as data.

Browser XHR callers request this (?redirect=false) because following the redirect cross-origin to GCS subjects the request's auth and tenancy headers to the bucket's CORS policy; handed the URL instead, the client loads it bare — an <img src>, a navigation, or a header-less fetch — which no bucket header allow-list has to anticipate.

url
string
required

Short-lived GCS signed URL of the object. Any Content-Disposition the redirect would have carried is baked into the URL's query parameters.

filename
string | null

Filename the object downloads as, when the endpoint serves attachments; null for inline media.
