# Person Search Now Live

You can now search individuals in addition to businesses.

Person Search allows you to look up a person and retrieve:

* SSN verification
* Liens
* Litigation history
* Bankruptcies
* Other relevant public-record signals

This feature supports fraud investigations, officer verification, and underwriting workflows.

You can use [POST /people](https://docs.baselayer.com/api-reference/people/create-person.md), and use the returned `person_id` to submit requests for additional checks, or directly use [POST /person\_searches](https://docs.baselayer.com/api-reference/people/create-person.md) and include under `options` all the checks you would like to include as part of this person search.
