# MCP: API Key Authentication and International Tools

The [Baselayer MCP server](/docs/mcp) now accepts your Baselayer API key in an `X-API-Key` header as an alternative to OAuth. That makes it easy to connect agents and automations that can't complete an OAuth flow.

New tools bring international coverage to MCP: `search_international_business` and `get_international_business_search` run international KYB, and `analyze_online_presence` now accepts non-US countries. Tools that start a search also accept an optional `idempotency_key`, so agents can retry safely without ordering the same work twice. See [MCP Tools](/docs/mcp-tools).
